Jaboticaba Table Wine
Jaboticaba — Beaujolais-style
We find the medium reds are the most popular in the tropics and this Beaujolais-style Jaboticaba fits perfectly. Typically the Beaujolais are light in tannin, light acid, dry and tastes nice. An easy drinking medium red for your red meats, pizzas, spaghetti bolognese and lasagne. A great steak wine.
Jaboticaba — Full Body
Medium to full flavour. A bit like a Shiraz or a Merlot or a Pinot Noir but not the same as any of them. Our Wine Consultant, Brian Wilson wanted us to make this style of red and it is very different and terrific with a rump steak or a T-Bone. Try it with kangaroo or buffalo. The aromas of the tannins come forward strongly but on the palate they are light to moderate. There is a touch of acid and the flavour of the wine is close to the flavour of the fruit. Finishes surprisingly soft, a bit like a Merlot. Already a Bronze medal winner and is maturing nicely.
